1. Identify the claim before citing the source.
2. Use official Maine records for official Maine facts.
3. Use research to explain risks and patterns, not to overclaim what happened in a private case.
4. Say what the record proves and what it does not prove.
5. Separate opinion, reform argument, personal story, and official data.
6. Avoid naming private children, private parties, sealed records, or unresolved allegations.
7. Keep safety and abuse exceptions visible when discussing family-process reform.
8. Use dates, version labels, and source-freshness notes.
